About the event
Pace Sustainability Initiative is hosting a sustainability panel where you will be able to learn from experts on the movement for our society to become more environmentally conscious.
Speakers Include:
Mr. Narinder Kakar: Accredited to the United Nations as the Permanent Observer of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the world’s oldest and largest environmental network, dedicated to the cause of natural resources conservation.
David O'connor: Permanent Observer of IUCN to the United Nations who for the past 12 years has been Chief of Policy and Analysis of the Division for Sustainable Development of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs.
Cecilia Smith: A Vote Everywhere Ambassador for the Andrew Goodman Foundation who works through CCAR. She brings awareness to civic engagement and helps young people, like us, become well rounded active citizens in their community.
Thomas Carpenito: President of Pace Sustainability Initiative and GreenPace Committee associate member who works closely with Pace University to create a more sustainable campus and inform students.
Melanie Dupuis: Professor and Chair of Environmental Studies and Science department at Pace University. She is the author of Nature’s Perfect Food: How Milk Became America’s Drink and Dangerous Digestion: The Politics of American Dietary Advice. Dr. DuPuis has been involved in food policy issues and organizations since the 1980s.
